Cao (2021) “Relating additively manufactured part tensile properties to thermal metrics,” CIRP Annals. Gan (2021) “Mechanistic data-driven prediction of as-built mechanical properties in metal additive manufacturing,” npj Computational Materials. Selected Peer-reviewed Technical Publications: Bennett was selected as one of SME’s 30 Under 30 Manufacturing Innovators. Bennett’s research focuses on additive manufacturing processes focusing on increasing process control as well as exploring and enabling novel applications of additive technology. There her team developed hybrid additive and subtractive machine tools as a turnkey solution from CAM software development to applications support to control system design and implementation for end-users such as Virgin Orbit, SpaceX, Boeing, US Army, and Toyota. Bennett has seven years of industrial experience working as an Advanced Solutions Engineer for the machine tool manufacturer DMG MORI. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University. Jennifer Bennett is an Assistant Professor in the Center for Innovation and Engineering, within the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
